OUR VISION

God willing, CBC will become a model church in Bates County, the Heart of America, and eventually throughout the world, should the Lord tarry His coming.

Phil 2:12 - 16

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

By God's grace:

  1. Calvary will be a church that abounds in charity and is marked for obedience to the Word of God.

  2. The membership of CBC will impact their families, friends, and the community with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  3. Calvary will provide ministries that meet the spiritual needs of individuals, families, and the community by manifesting a relevance of the Word of God in today's culture.

  4. Every willing member of CBC will have the opportunity to literally take part in reaching the world thereby fulfilling the Great Commission of God at a personal level.

  5. CBC will become a regional church that reproduces itself and impacts missions worldwide by supporting and sending missionaries to our Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."

WHAT WE DO

Calvary's goals are simple yet comprehensive:

It is God’s will that every member of Calvary know God through an intimate relationship with his word, grow through practical exercise of their faith in ministry so they can go where God sends them to make disciples and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as they mature in his grace, mercy and love. These three simple goals are the summation of our ministry goals.

Every Christian should be learning of Christ. In Matthew 11:29 is a great invitation to the tender of heart to come and learn of the Lord Jesus Christ. CBC has practical steps every tender hearted believer can take to learn of Jesus and be filled with faith.

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Matthew 11:29

The fruit of learning of Christ should be a life lived for Christ. John 10:10 is a great promise by our Lord Jesus Christ that he as the Good Shepherd offered his life for us so we could live an abundant life in Christ. The Christian who has a fertile heart filled with the word of God will naturally grow into a fruitful child of God as the fruit of the Spirit is manifest in their life through humble service to our Lord.

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10

A life of faith transforms us into the very image of Christ. John 15:9 implores us to continue in the Love of the Father we have received through the Son. As we believe God and serve Him we grow in the love of God.  Just as the apostle Peter was transformed from a fisherman to a fisher of men to a shepherd, so we are changed into his image (2 Corinthians 3:18). God’s love is contagious and causes us to give freely to others the grace that has been given to us.

"As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love."

John 15:9
